Mui Ne is a famous tourist
center in Phan Thiet city, Binh Thuan province. It is far from Phan Thiet 22 km
to the northeast. Additionally, it connects this coastal city to Nguyen Dinh Chieu
street (route 706) - is considered a key route for tourism of Binh Thuan
province and 706B new construction road. The name Mui Ne derived from the
fishermen who always hided themselves when it had storm. ‘Mui’ is promontory
protruding toward the sea while ‘Ne’ is meant avoid. The second origin is the
name of the youngest princess of king Cham – Ne. When she was 16 years old, she
got incurable disease, then she had nickname Ms Na Ne, gradually, the
inhabitants read Mui Ne. Mui Ne is the ideal place for swimming or diving
because it is a tropical beach with wonderfully warm weather. Furthermore, it
is very great for you to kite-flying due to strong winds begin at 11 am until
the late evening from November to March. Moreover, there are many destination in
Mui Ne that attract both domestic and international tourists such as Ca Na
Beach, Fairy Springs…Besides, you can taste the well-known specialty (nuoc mam
Phan Thiet) and buy it as a gift or sightsee the local wildlife (birds, crabs,
fish, frogs, many exotic flowers,...). You have never had a perfect journey
without contemplate the beautiful sand dunes where they turn from white to gold
and we only find them in the north of the town. Finally, you may go to Mui Ne
fishing village to learn about the inhabitant’s life as well as buy lots of
fresh fruits and inexpensive clothing.
